* What is a “Mandat de Recherche” ?

The “mandat de recherche” allows you to entrust the purchase of your future home to an agent who will find the rare pearl on your behalf. It is a contract between you and the real estate agent (or an agency). You give him the task of finding a property in accordance with your requests. This contract is governed by the 1970 Hoguet law and gives rise to the Agency being remunerated for its search and negotiation work by a commission which is only payable if the real estate transaction is actually carried out, after signature of the deed of sale at the notary’s office.
